Books - Household Waste Guide
Books are not accepted for recycling in curbside bins or at drop-off recycling centers. Other options are available for getting rid of your gently used books. Generally, these outlets do not accept textbooks or encyclopedias and some do not accept hardcover books.

Check the web for re-sellable textbooks and paperbacks. Pick your favorite search engine and search using the words “sell used books”. The websites allow you to enter the book’s ISBN number (a 10-digit number located near the barcode on the book) and then may give an offer to buy the book and even pay for shipping!
