One program is Builders’ Abundance, which provides surplus building materials at a lower cost to low-income homeowners and nonprofit organizations serving people in need. Builders’ Abundance gives businesses and residents an opportunity to contribute reusable materials, such as excess inventory and slightly damaged, mis-measured or out-of-style materials rather than dispose of these items in a landfill.
