Disposal:

  1. Make a brief list of the quantity and types of items you wish to dispose of.
  2. Call (616) 336-2570 (then press 0) to make an appointment or request an appointment online. Schedule an appointment on a collection day or at the site that is most convenient. Due to the nature of the materials and to save you time when dropping off materials, appointments are taken at each of our four centers. Specific directions to the site will be given when you make the appointment. Call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel if you are unable to keep your appointment.
  3. Transport the materials to the collection site at your appointment time. To protect you, your passengers and your vehicle, place items in plastic-lined cardboard boxes in the trunk or back seat, away from children & pets.

The Household Hazardous Waste Program is a service for Kent County residents. Material will not be accepted from business, schools, institutions, commercial farmers or non-Kent County residents.
